I needed a surface that would extend about 16 from under a desk, so I purchased the 18 inch version of these slides thinking that would be enough. After receiving them today I was very disappointed to find that the travel is only about 10 inches, meaning if I didn't want part of the tray to protrude from under the table while full closed, I would get a surface about 10 inches deep when fully extended. The only potential indication of this limitation is an image with closed and extended measurements, but it's not 100% clear from that photo just how much would extended beyond the desk if the slides were mounted flush with the desk face. This would be solved by including in the measurements image the length from the front of the forward mounting bracket to the front of the slide when both closed and open. This product will not work for my needs and cannot be made to work so I am returning it.
