Review on ReadyLift 69-5421 2-Inch SST Lift Kit for Toyota Highlander by Young Rich

Read the instructions! And the torque characteristics!

Good quality jack. My Highlander looks great, the handling has changed a bit, but that doesn't bother me at all. Method 17x8 +38 offset rims wrapped in BFG KO2 LT 255-70-17, fit like a glove, no reaming or cutting required. home with a jack and some stands. I have professional automotive experience so installation was an easy task. Be careful! If you don't have the right tools to install, I strongly recommend professional technicians who can do it. BUT. If you insist on doing this at home, READ the instructions word for word. Torque characteristics are very important. Be sure all nuts and bolts are torqued to specification and tightened securely to prevent loosening under normal driving conditions. After installation, the setting is MANDATORY. Increasing elevation always resets toe and camber. Also, the only issue I had was that the sway bar didn't have enough play on the driver's side every time I spun the wheel, it was rubbing and making noise. Simply disconnect the anti-roll bar linkage on both sides and adjust the anti-roll bar so there is adequate clearance on either side and position the ball joints away from the strut before remounting the wheel. In general I am very satisfied with the result.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
