I recently upgraded my computer with a new graphics card. It doesn't have a DVI-D port, which I knew about before I bought it, but I figured I could play games at 60fps until I made plans to buy a new monitor later this year. Note; I was NOT okay. My BenQ XL2411 monitor lacks DisplayPort, so I needed a way to convert DP to DVI-D. Did a lot of research and settled on this $100 adapter. I was concerned that no other cables or adapters would help as it seems you need this "active" adapter to get 144hz. The adapter plugged into a USB 3.0 port on a cell phone using a Rocketfish DVI-D cable and worked like a charm. Windows 10 picked it up immediately after I changed the display settings. Now play again at 144 Hz. No complaints PROS: - Easy to install - Good quality - Good picture with 1920x1080p @ 144hz display CONS: - Expensive adapters
