I bought this to add to my newer (less than 1 year old) Dell desktop so I can use the USB 3.0 standard with my new Seagate Expansion 2TB can take full advantage of external USB 3.0 desktop hard drive STBV2000100. When I received the item I found that the item I received was not from Syba but from another manufacturer, however the item looked fine, the packaging looked cheap and the item was not in a standard anti-static bag . I installed it on my computer via an available PCI port and connected it to an available SATA connector. When I turned on the machine, it recognized the presence of this part, but didn't automatically find the drivers for it. I used the driver CD that came with it and surprisingly no Windows 7 drivers were found. Like the other reviewer, I also went to the Syba website to try and find drivers for it. I havent found her. I have read the attached documents; which is minimal and found that Windows 7 is not even listed as supported for this product. Strange since USB 3.0 is the new standard. I thought maybe Revain sent me the wrong part and I sent it back for an exchange. Although Revain's product description lists Syba as the manufacturer, a different part came as a replacement *identical to the first one I received from another manufacturer. I sent it back and ordered a Western Digital SuperSpeed USB 3.0 PCI Express (PCIe) card instead. It has fewer ports but with so many great reviews I'm looking forward to installing and using it. I am planning to buy a USB 3.0 hub for more 3.0 ports in the future. Now I like this one: Uspeed USB 3.0 7-port hub with USB 3.0 cable and power adapter. Backward compatible with USB 2.0. Vista on the supplied CD.
