I already have a set of Netgear 2000 powerline adapters but I needed another set but they were sold out everywhere so I saw they were available immediately and for $80. So I bought it instead and it "works" with the Netgear powerline adapters I already have, but it's always caused problems. It turns off at 10-11pm every night and turns off randomly during the day. The only way to fix this is to unplug it and plug it back in. I've tried using the software from the manufacturer's website to see if I can change the settings on them but it couldn't find/register the devices. However, their customer service is amazing, the guy I chatted with online on their website was very helpful and thorough, but unfortunately even he couldn't get them to work properly. I finally gritted my teeth and bought another set of Netgear 2000 adapters after seeing that Best Buy had them back in stock for $120 and since I bought another set of Netgear adapters the internet problems have been disappeared. So it turns out that all the problems really were caused by these little things. If you've ever thought about mixing and matching the right powerline adapters to save money. Save time, effort and money and simply buy another of the same set you already have.
