not suitable for streaming

I bought a pair of AV2000 to upgrade my TPlink 600 I have minidlna with linux and have been using it for over a year. As soon as we plugged in the AV2000, streaming broke down. this. constantly had to pause to buffer. then play for 20 seconds. Pause and buffer for 5 seconds. Play 20 seconds. Repeat rinsing and rinsing. I put the TPlink 600 back in and the constant buffering issues are gone. I can't find any evidence of firmware updates etc on the DLink site. Oddly, I see that they list it as…

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • I'm worried

I pay for 100Mbps wired Internet from Spectrum. With this product I almost reached the stated speed. My new (2018) smartphone with 5GHz WiFi connected to the same router/modem can connect at 100Mbps so the connection is good. I seem to get around 75-85Mbps with this product depending on which outlet I plug it into. Keep in mind that the wiring in your home is not designed for this digital traffic. So it's unrealistic to expect it to behave like a purpose-built Cat5 or Cat6 network…

Simple enough, works great, problems solved!

They were easy to install; Just follow the instructions. I had a bit of a problem with "forcing" communication between them. It's been a few weeks since I installed it, but as far as I remember the problem was that when the instructions say to hold the button down for '2 seconds', it actually says '2 seconds' " means - no more and no less! I work from home using my loft as an office. The (I think) webcam I use for video conferencing was overloading my home wifi and causing a lot of connection…

Latest and best, no performance issues

I love powerline adapters (mainly out of disdain for WiFi) and after using a few from TP-Link and Trendnet I decided to give these a try. All of the powerline adapters I used worked great, but as speeds increased I updated them (i.e. TP-Link and Trendnet devices still worked very well after the swap). In any case, they work great. I have a townhouse with my main setup (a 24-port switch and a dozen servers, NAS boxes, etc.) downstairs, my main home theater setup (plus router and modem)…

decent has damn problems terrible for hosting games

Hello I had problems with it as soon as I received it but I was too lazy to return it and get another brand and I thought that it is could be better. Honestly, spend the extra money to get the best, it's a duet. I can barely get download speeds of 50-55MB/s+ when no one in my house is using WiFi. The store is horrible at 11-12. Also, I can never host the game or it just crashes or lags. This thing is so ridiculously slow I might go back to my old one that I've been using for the last 5-6 years.

Does not work with Netgear 2000 Powerline adapters

I already have a set of Netgear 2000 powerline adapters but I needed another set but they were sold out everywhere so I saw they were available immediately and for $80. So I bought it instead and it "works" with the Netgear powerline adapters I already have, but it's always caused problems. It turns off at 10-11pm every night and turns off randomly during the day. The only way to fix this is to unplug it and plug it back in. I've tried using the software from the manufacturer's website to see…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Slightly torn

When the old Powerline adapters that AT&T supplied with the installation of fiber optic Internet died almost 2 weeks ago, I knew nothing about this technology. I figured simply swapping them out would be enough (which I did), but found that the old technology didn't mix well with the new technology. The TrendNet adapters I bought only gave me 1/3 the speed I paid for; and that wasn't enough. Even my streaming services crashed (over wifi) during a program. Then I researched further and learned…

Had a good three months

Bought and received 18th February. Operated as intended until May 27, albeit at reduced speed. No longer closes the circuit to the far end. One day I noticed that I didn't have an ethernet connection and looked around and found that the powerline connection was down. I rebelled, unplugged, swapped cables, and generally followed the recommended steps to no avail. I have accepted the limited speed as a device independent factor and within the limitations of my own power lines. But a lifespan of…
