Review on NGK 54058 Spark Plug Wire by Ben Duncan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect replacement for my 2004 Mini Cooper S (R53)

to replace what looked like the original spark plug cable from the factory. I used them with 4 NGK (3199) BKR6EQUP Laser Platinum spark plugs, also from Revain. The wires are numbered so be sure to connect the correct wire to the correct ignition coil terminal. Cylinder #1 is on the passenger side of the engine and cylinder #4 is on the driver's side. Before connecting I cleaned the ignition coil terminals with steel wool and then applied dielectric grease to prevent corrosion. For the exchange in the "S" version, the intercooler does not have to be exchanged. Useful reference YouTube video from Mini Mania "Changing the MINI Cooper Spark Plug". Your spark plug tube seals, this is done by removing the valve caps, popping them out and installing new ones. Difficulty Level - Beginner Tools Required - None unless changing the wires, although I recommend changing the spark plugs as well Supplies Required - Steel Wool, Dielectric Grease
