Review on Review: Winsor & Newton 14ml Peat Brown Drawing Ink Bottle - Unbiased Analysis and Rating by Kim Sanchez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

White is amazing. Not very brown.

I bought this for crow feather calligraphy. White is amazing. Very opaque and covers the feather well. It works well with different tips, does not spread or crease on the paper. I want to give an overview of certain colors. Brown is not the greatest. I tried it with two different pens and paper. Ink runs on rougher paper and crumples on parchment like I'm writing with water. This makes writing more difficult because the ink wants to pool where the creases are deepest. It's very transparent and doesn't cover the pen very well. It stinks because I like the color. I will have an emerald tomorrow and I have a feeling it will be of the same consistency. Both brown and emerald are likely to return.
