Everything worked fine at first, but shortly after I set it up the picture disappeared. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my Surface Pro 4 or the monitor I am using this product with. But I tested the connection with another Mini DisplayPort cable I have and it worked fine. As it turned out, the product was defective. The only way I can get it to work now is to gently tilt the end of the mini DisplayPort like I'm pressing the connector pins on my surface. If I move the cable or surface even slightly, the image disappears and needs to be readjusted. While this doesn't happen often, it's frustrating when it happens. At least it works great with my outdated computer monitor. Image quality doesn't suffer, so at least it's not a waste of money. It works but gives no confidence that it will last long. I would only recommend this as a last resort as the price is pretty cheap and all. But if you have money, it is better to use a higher quality cable.
