IF YOU HAVE AN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE (AND/OR OCD :-)) YOU NEED THIS HOLDER. I have a '98 Wrangler with mud tires and as expected the ride is not very smooth (heavy vibration). I've tried probably 10 different mounts at different prices including a Rugged Ridge dash mount that was specifically designed for the Wrangler. All had one or more of the following issues: - Severe vibrations which were distracting, difficult to read and caused the phone to fall. - Sticky suction cups slid down the windshield as they heated up in the sun. .- "Click" positions, which can reduce vibration compared to ball joints but doesn't get the right viewing angle (yes I have OCD). Finally, I bought a Ram Mount and was blown away. Here's why: 1. These are all metal structures. Sturdy, heavy, high-quality materials. No cheap plastic waste.2. It's a suction cup with no sticky mess and is meant to stay in place with a lever. And I mean STAY IN PLACE. It will knock the glass out of the windshield before it detaches.3. It has ball joints for positioning on BOTH ends of the arm where it connects to the windshield and where it connects to the mount. You can position your device EXACTLY where you want it.4. It features the innovative X-Kickstand, which allows you to easily take your phone in and out (even the large iPhone 7 Plus) thanks to the spring-loaded handles on the sides. However, if you're worried it won't hold up when scaling boulders, it has a rubber strap you can add on the back that stretches over the corners of the phone. make sure that it doesn't work anyway.5. Most importantly, you can tighten the ball joints on the metal arms enough that they barely vibrate even when driving over rough roads in a rough car (like mine). Arrow. Did. And it's also made in the USA. The only "minus" is that it's a bit more expensive than cheap plastic shit holders. You get what you pay for and the quality of this holder is worth the extra money. Rock on Ram! Arrow. Did. And it's also made in the USA. The only "minus" is that it's a bit more expensive than cheap plastic shit holders.
