I love these lights! I bought them for a hike to add something special to our canopy and they were amazing. Each filament takes three AAA batteries and I was worried they would burn out quickly if we left the light on for a few hours, but so far I haven't had to change batteries even with daily use. I have so many great things to say about these lights, seriously. First, they are durable. Ours hung from a rain shelter that had been placed over a picnic table when we were in the redwoods of Northern California. It was cold and raining most of our trip and the lights were fine. No bulbs or batteries burned out, the headlights came home in excellent condition. In addition, I've used them on a small Christmas tree in my office, so the lights have been happily blinking 7-8 hours a day since December 1st or 2nd, and I'm still with the original. batteries. Seriously, I'm really impressed. The bulbs themselves are larger than your standard modern string lights, but I love this because they have such a vintage look.
