These things are terrible! I moved to a new apartment last month and didn't want to drill too many holes in the walls so I checked them out and based on the 'maximum' weight I thought I had found my solution. No, they couldn't hold anything I had and the only framed painting I hung as a 'test' fell off after an hour of hanging, damaging the frame and destroying my lamp that was next to the hung painting. I followed the instructions in the letter and waited two hours to hang the picture. My frame weighed 7 pounds, the other things I wanted to use them for were smaller and I couldn't trust them with those frames. I suggest that anyone looking at these should only use them on things that weigh 5 pounds or less.
