Review on DI ORO Pro Grade Fine Zester Grater for Kitchen – Effortlessly Zest Lemon and Grate Cheese, Fruits, Ginger, Garlic, and More – Ultra-Sharp Stainless Steel Blade – Includes Protective Cover by Maria Coleman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very sharp, oversized, watch out for the holes in the lid

*Update: I've noticed that sometimes the food "sticks" to your teeth a bit instead of just being rubbed off. It's sharp, so I suspect it's the gap between the teeth. I've often noticed this with garlic cloves and slightly dried lemons. * The grater is very sharp and does its job very efficiently. The small teeth are further apart and a bit larger than some of the others I've had, but they seem to work just as well on nutmeg and ginger (ha!) as they do on bigger things. I was concerned because the size of the grater seems larger than the bowl, but everything grates well and good. I don't need the little rubber stopper at the end since I usually use a bowl, but I can see how some people might like it. The back is smooth to the end, so there are no corners or edges where food could get stuck. Plus, it comes in a nice box that's perfect for wrapping. The only thing I have is that the protective plastic cover has two large holes on the front. All of my other cesters have retractable lids, so when I took this one off I just shaved off a tiny bit of skin. (It's VERY sharp!) The teeth are sticking out of the holes so I have to be careful getting into that box. The lid just snaps up and down, so once you know you're good. However, it would be better if the lid had no holes. Apart from that I love it!

Pros
  • Grating
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
