I recently bought this and used it for the first time. The customer's battery died after the car had stood still for a few days. However, the short was intermittent and sometimes the battery was fine. There was no drain the day I had the car, so I decided to try this remedy. After moving and rewinding the wires throughout the car, I found a short under the instrument panel when moving a few wires. It turned out that the wire was pinched between the dashboard. It's on a 37 year old Ford. In short, the tool allows us to find a short circuit that no one has found before.
