Review on 🔌 DZS Elec 2PCS LM2596 DC-DC Step Down Variable Volt Regulator: Adjustable Buck Converter for Stable Power Supply by Brian Dildine

This little buck converter was perfect for my needs. I modified a Power Wheels Jeep for my kids and increased it to 24V, but I also added LEDs that run on 6V DC. Instead of trying to add a second power supply, this little guy allowed me to connect directly to the 24v circuit and power the LEDs at 6.25v, I could just solder the leads with 16 gauge wire (I think not, something thicker Will be concerned). fit into the circuit board). The adjustment screw worked as it should and achieving the desired tension was an easy task. I then put the converter in an old 35mm canister (yes I know!) but it fit perfectly (I drilled holes for venting and cables at the ends). All in all I am very happy with this purchase and time will tell how durable it is. PS There is a small red LED that lights up when the unit is connected to power, although I wish the specs said how much current it draws.
