This rug changes the game, perfect for dressing up and furniture. By profession I am a carpenter, carpenter and trainer for woodworking. I've been using these pads for years and they have never let me down. If you want to "break the edges," as we call it (smooth out sharp edges), put on a 320 or even 600 grit wheel and get it done quickly. When my friends/customers/students see my new furniture, the first thing they feel is the workmanship. You're always amazed at how smooth the edges are. Pro Tip: When removing the pad from the sander, be sure to hold the first layer in place (velcro attached to the pad). If you don't do this, the interface overlay will be removed. Do not use the grinder for a long time without the interface pad on the material to be ground. The interface overlay flies away. Before applying the coating, wipe the product with a damp, clean cloth. Wait for it to air dry and then sand again with the highest finishing grit. This will raise the grain and you can knock it down. This is especially important when using water-based polishes as they will lift the texture.
