Review on Dorman 950-001 Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly ๐Ÿ”ง (OE FIX) for Lexus and Toyota Models - Enhanced SEO by Robert Gilbert

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not as good as we would like. Lasted two months. Returned with a full refund.

Installed November 2019 - Checked on delivery, all looks good. These are online install instructions from Dorman and others. Everything looked and felt good after installation, no issues. January 2020 - I heard an intermittent squeak coming from the wheel I replaced the bearing hub assembly on. At first I thought it was a pebble in the brake so I took the wheel off, checked it but found nothing. I figured that maybe the brake shield was bent so badly that I pulled it back a little to make sure it wasn't rubbing and put the wheel back on. I thought I fixed it, but after three days I started hearing the noise again, but this time it was a constant, non-intermittent squeaking noise like before. I jacked up the car, turned the wheel manually and heard a knock in the bearing area. After I removed the wheel, brake disc and calipers and turned them by hand again, I still heard the grinding noise. Replaced the hub bearing assembly with one that I knew was good and the noise was gone. My experience with the warranty replacement โ€“ I called a Revain Dorman representative and they were very helpful in starting the replacement process. I received the replacement fairly quickly but when I opened the Revain box I saw that the Dorman box was damaged and when I opened it the seal was bent and the assembly packaging was torn. Not sure if it was previously opened or just mishandled, but either way I didn't even want to use it. Both faulty and superseded builds were returned for a full refund. Overall, I have not had a good experience with this product. I may have lemon, which is possible, but I'll try a different brand.
