Review on Smartphone HUAWEI P20 Lite 4/64 GB, black by Aashit Aashit ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product, more pros than cons.

In general, the phone is good if the camera and fingerprint scanner are not critical for you. Otherwise, everything works without problems. Different pros: - A good big bright screen with high resolution (however, why is it needed, except for VR, it’s not clear, but it’s probably fashionable). - Not large dimensions of the device for such a diagonal screen - The back cover looks beautiful, incl. and with a complete transparent silicone case. - Connection. There were never any problems, communication was lost only in the subway and then rarely. With the latest ate, support for VoLTE and VoWiFi has appeared, maybe this will be useful to someone - Fast, does not freeze, does not twitch, scrolling is always smooth, there is enough RAM to not unload applications from memory if there are not very many of them. - The sound of the speaker is loud, of course, it can be louder in devices for the same money, but what is there is enough in abundance, it is problematic not to hear it even on a noisy street. - The headphones also have a very decent sound, at least compared with an inexpensive player with a dedicated DAC, many will not notice the difference at all. - Battery. I don’t play games, I mostly read the news on the Internet (1.5 hours a day), sometimes music on the road (about 3 hours a day), make calls and communicate in instant messengers, by 9 pm there is about 40% of the charge left. There is a fast charger included. - The EMUI shell, for me personally, is very convenient. - The presence of USB-C and 3.5mm connectors is also a plus - Availability of NFC. (Reads and replenishes the Troika card) Has some cons - For some, a unibrow will be a minus, but it can be "removed" in the settings. - The screen is rounded around the perimeter, so if you stick ordinary glass on the edges, it will not adhere to the screen, you can buy glass with a black frame, but this same frame will slightly reduce the visible area of the screen, by about 0.5mm on each side. I personally don't like it. - Fingerprint sensor. Here, in the reviews that have a possession of less than a month, they write that the fingerprint recognition is excellent and fast. So it was with me at first, then for some reason the sensor began to work worse and worse, as a result, now, after 7 months, it probably works once out of thirty. Therefore, we can say that it does not work at all (and this is given that the finger and the scanner are clean and dry). After reading the topic on this device on the 4pda forum, I realized that not only I have it. Of course, there is also face recognition, but it must be borne in mind that, for example, Apple developed a special scanner for the Face ID function, but here everything is much simpler, using the usual selfie camera. And when you allegedly "scan" your face, it honestly says that the accuracy of this method is not so high and security may be at risk. - But the main disadvantage, I think, is the camera. The sensor itself may not be bad, but for some reason they didn’t add any stabilization at all. That is, even if you are not going to take any "artistic" photos and videos, but simply use the camera for work, this will become a problem. Taking a picture of the text in room lighting often turns out about a third time, otherwise everything is blurry, or at dusk it is also very difficult to take a picture of a Christmas tree in garlands, and the inscription "fix the device to increase clarity" will also appear, but there is no clarity. Yes, even during the day on the street, sometimes the photos are slightly blurry. And the video will be as if the operator suffers from Parkinson's disease or chronic alcoholism - solid twitches. Why the camera stabilizer was not implemented on the device, which cost 20at the start, is a mystery.
