Rounded tip limits engagement
Torx slots do not reach the tip of the bit. They are beveled so that the (useless) tip of the drill is a rounded protrusion. The ridge extends to the bottom of the torx socket, limiting wedge engagement. Landing is also easy. With this bit I rounded two fasteners; With a decent torx bit, that's almost impossible. NEIKO Torx splines go to the end of the bit. I was able to remove the (cleaned) torx fasteners with NEIKO bits; So skip GearWrench and buy NEIKO.
