Our budgie loves to chew. Funny, because our male only chews occasionally. On the other hand, she's manic. Always chews and shreds its perches, nests and toys. This large log keeps her busy and other items in her cage. We buy the third one and she loves it. It takes her many months, but eventually she refuses everything. After she finished one we took her out and gave her a break for a few months and then switched to other chew toys. When we put in another one of those logs, after a few seconds she jumped on it and started chewing. I think she missed it. It should be noted that it is large and you need a large enough cage for it. but you have to keep your birds in a big cage anyway ;) (We have a big vision for our two budgies).
