It took my GCC about 4 days to get over its fear of this toy and now it's hooked. This is a crushable toy obviously made to be destroyed so the quality and durability is not up to par. So far (6 days) it's holding up, but I really can't say how long this toy will last. My GCC loves to chew; most likely it will disappear within a month.
