I bought a mini size for my Green Cheek Conure because he is not very fond of chewing. He has a variety of toys, but for his wooden toys, he doesn't typically chew on anything thicker than 1/4 inch. They lay in his cage for 5 weeks and he completely ignored them. In fact, I even told him that if he hadn't started playing with him by the weekend, I would have given him to a Senegal parrot. Well, he must have heard me because last night I heard an unfamiliar chewing noise coming from his cage. I look in and he drives into town. for a toy. It took him less than 1 hour to completely turn it into sawdust and rope. Try again with a larger size next time and see. I wouldn't get it for any of my larger birds as they all chew a lot harder (even in the stouter size - my cockatoo would look at them and tell me I should have had him break $20 instead and save everyone's time.
