Review on 🌡️ JET 10170 Smart Thermostat by Maxwell Thomas

Nicely made stainless steel thermostat. I read on the Dodge forum that the Jet 180 actually opens at 183-185. I installed this on a '99 Dakota C/CR/T 5.9 liter V-8 engine. On the factory thermostat (195) the temp gauge ran just under half the mark and the needle covered 2 of 210. The Jet 180's temp gauge ran at 1/3 of the mark or just under 2 of 210 on the gauge! Fits perfectly in the body. UPDATE: 2-2-13 Adequate heat for temperatures during puberty. Obviously not as hot as the factory 195, but still decently heated. The codes didn't work. There is no check engine light. The fuel consumption stayed the same.
