Review on 🧦 PIG Home Solutions Water and Moisture Absorbing Sock - 12 pack - 3"x48" - Absorbs up to 1 Gallon per Sock - Blue - PIG105-BL by David Edwards

Doesn't seem very good at stopping water from flowing. Although it will absorb.

Like most garages, mine slopes toward the top door (the driveway) and an inside corner. I brought a New Pig PIG105-BL absorbent sock that is mildew resistant to prevent water from pooling in that corner. others walk along the wall. That way I was hoping to prevent water from entering that corner. Washed my car with a pump sprayer producing about .77 GPM and watched the water run to the back of the garage, hit the toe of the PIG105-BL and move to the right. Under him. In the end, you guessed it, the water pooled in the corner I was trying to avoid. I thought that the PIG105-BL absorbent sock might not lie flat on the ground, so I tried to put pressure on it. Doesn't matter. The water continued to flow from below and pooled in the corner. However, the absorbent socks PIG105-BL will absorb water. After initial disappointment that the item didn't do what I wanted I tried just putting it against the wall in the corner where I now had the usual large puddle of water. After a while all the water had evaporated. Once the absorbent sock PIG105-BL is saturated, it has a certain weight; and figure out where to let it dry, I haven't figured it out yet. You get a lot of socks in one box for the price. So I think you can throw away the rich if they don't dry up. But I wouldn't buy another box once this one's gone. My conclusion: The suction sock PIG105-BL itself is not a water barrier, but it absorbs it damn well.

Pros
  • Flexible socks prevent leaks, drips and condensation on freezers, refrigerators, window sills and sliding glass doors. Also great for leaks in the basement and garage or anywhere water is leaking.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
