Flexible socks stop leaks, drips and condensation from freezers, coolers, windowsills and sliding glass doors. Also great for basement and garage leaks or anywhere water seeps in. Polypropylene skin resists tearing; reduces dust and holds in liquid, even when it's fully saturated. Designed to keep your home dry. This sock absorbs water and can be left down long-term without growing mildew. Socks should not be left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Prolonged UV exposure will cause degradation. Not suitable for either the washing machine or dryer as the sock may become damaged in the process and filler loose in the machines.

Works with a leaky basement.

I bought these socks for my sister whose basement leaks when it rains. Your basement won't flood, but water will seep in through the foundations. Then the water runs in the wrong direction and into the wrong sewage system. They prevent water from flowing in the wrong direction while absorbing most of it. She had to use newspapers to soak up the water, which works but is dirty. I don't recommend this, but she puts a pig in an old pillowcase (in case the pig tears) and ties off the end of theโ€ฆ

Doesn't seem very good at stopping water from flowing. Although it will absorb.

Like most garages, mine slopes toward the top door (the driveway) and an inside corner. I brought a New Pig PIG105-BL absorbent sock that is mildew resistant to prevent water from pooling in that corner. others walk along the wall. That way I was hoping to prevent water from entering that corner. Washed my car with a pump sprayer producing about .77 GPM and watched the water run to the back of the garage, hit the toe of the PIG105-BL and move to the right. Under him. In the end, you guessed it,

Funny name, great product

Love, love, love. This item did exactly what I hoped it would. Without being pretentious, after 12 years we have finally renovated our vintage vertical cocaine machine. After spending a lot of money and seeing how cool this thing looks, I didn't want to just send it to the garage. So we brought it inside, to our office. We didn't realize how noisy it was, let alone the amount of condensation that formed. Hence the need for these absorbent socks. The coca machine has a tube through which theโ€ฆ
