These shoes are good but rough around the edges. Fair value, they're pretty stiff and the latter are comfortable enough. It has bolt mounting plates with 2 or 3 holes. As mentioned in some reviews, they have an awful rumble from a 2-hole mounting plate (or one you don't use). I put a zip tie through the holes in the unused 2 hole plates and that stopped the rattling. Turnbuckles are fake. They are easy to use and loosen, but they only tighten and have no reverse effect on the left shoe, so turning clockwise tightens both. The tongue is a little clumsy, wrinkling and wrinkling when tightened, neither end is finished. All this to say that they are functional and not uncomfortable (at least on a 40-mile ride). I will definitely leave them for rainy days.
