Make sure you have another way to make the hole.

They are decent and I think they will fit in my pockets. There are a few issues, but I think they will be manageable. First, the hammer drill doesn't work. After my thick sample didn't go through, I tried it on a thin felt. Hardly a dent. I thought I'd try it on paper and he didn't even cut the paper even after hitting it with a hammer over 20 times. My crocodile went through even the thickest material with ease, and the hole size looked the same, but with a little effort. I ended up going with the awl. Because the hole was too small, I first had to pull/stretch the awl a bit to make the hole big enough, but it worked in the end! The benefit of using an awl to make a hole is that it won't cut the edges of the fabric and hopefully will prevent the edges of the hole from fraying and making the placement tighter. Again, this is user error, but make sure you're using the correct side of the small metal anvil. If you hammer the wider pins onto the small side, it doesn't look pretty. Hope that helps. If you use it on skin I would suggest investing in a different kick.
