The quality is so bad that you can even take it apart with your fingernails when fully assembled. that is, if you can set them up without leaning to one side. The included hole punch also bent and punched my 5th hole through the skin (and didn't even go all the way through the very thin skin).

Terrible! with leather rivets

You get what you pay for - usually. This kit was cheap enough but still not worth it. I'm surprised it has so many good reviews. As with most reviews the cutting tool is totally useless and I was just trying to poke a hole in the cotton fabric! The rivets are so small I personally found it almost impossible to hold the cap to mount it and they are cheap cheap CHEAP! Heavy duty aluminum foil is thicker. Some of the posts had burrs on the rivets so I would have had to sand them carefully before…

They appear to be good

To be honest I noticed them when researching Chicago Screws and didn't read carefully enough to recognize them before buying. But it seems like they should work for someone doing leather/fabric work that requires rivets. The case is made of slightly pliable plastic, so it will likely last longer than harder, more brittle plastic. The compartments are large enough to give some room to grab 1 or more at a time. The lid closes securely enough at first glance. Otherwise I haven't touched her. So…

Rivets work as they should. Punch, not really!

Good range of rivets. I used them for leather work. You can throw a hole punch in a pile of junk! It grew on both ends after the first rivet was installed. A 3/32" drill works best for thick leather. The rivet die is set too deep and the upper punch has left a crescent-shaped imperfection on the rivet. vise benches. That's the best idea anyway! I tried a hole punch on a canvas after trying on leather and it was so dull it couldn't cut through cleanly.

Pros
  • Rivets for leatherworkers
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Make sure you have another way to make the hole.

They are decent and I think they will fit in my pockets. There are a few issues, but I think they will be manageable. First, the hammer drill doesn't work. After my thick sample didn't go through, I tried it on a thin felt. Hardly a dent. I thought I'd try it on paper and he didn't even cut the paper even after hitting it with a hammer over 20 times. My crocodile went through even the thickest material with ease, and the hole size looked the same, but with a little effort. I ended up going with
