They worked perfectly for my deck design. I use 2x6x6 for both the structure of the deck and the actual deck surface instead of just using 2x6 for the bottom and thin cedar for the top of the deck. (I don't use these stealth screws for my deck structure element, neither should you - just to clarify. You should use snap bolts and deck screws are applicable.) Since I'm using 2x6 for the top, I needed longer screws. They worked great and are holding up very well. I can't believe how amazing the deck looks! I lay the boards diagonally. I used bars every 16 inches. I decided to add deck boards at each intersection where the top board met the joist. My deck is SO STRONG with these screws. The boards don't move/creak/sway! It's worth the money and I'm so glad I did. Keep in mind that your screw insertion method will be slightly different if you are lying diagonally. Setting up a cloaking tool requires you to move for each individual bolt instead of setting up and then crafting two bolts each time. It doesn't really matter once you get used to it, but it did take a little thought at first. First class product! I'm glad I found this before using regular screws. Will use them again and again in any deck project!
