I confess the clamps were damaged when the package arrived but they were promptly replaced. I needed replacement clips to attach the cage lid to my hamster's tank. (I accidentally threw away the original clips that came with the gas cap.) I couldn't find anything to replace the clips. I was worried that if she tried to get out she might hurt herself by squeezing between the tank and the top cage. I was skeptical but hoped these clamps would work although they weren't meant to hold the top of the cage in place but to hold the cage lid firmly in place. The cost of the clips was worth trying. It took several attempts to bend them to the right angle and resistance (about 5 minutes) but it worked and continues to work without the need for additional adjustment. easily snaps in and out of the rim of the tank. We remove the cage cover daily for spot cleaning; Several months have passed and these clips continue to work well. They were a great alternative, they are very durable, the price was great and most importantly our Iriska is a happy, healthy and safe hamster. ☺
