Review on πŸ” Optimized for SEO: Memorex 98251 External CD/DVD Writer 8x by Mardrequs Dorsey

It does the job!

This is my second Memorex external DVD drive (and the third one arrives any day). The first one still works great so this one and the third one will be for parts and temporary use. Many of my customers find that their new laptops don't come with optical drives and need to read or write to CDs or DVDs from time to time. This device makes it reliable and fast enough. So most people don't need to own one, but on rare occasions they need access to it. If you need it more than infrequently, the price is reasonable given the ease of use. USB 2.0 devices. You could probably get slightly better performance with a USB 3.0 device, but I think the transfer rate is more limited by the drive than the interface, so I'm not concerned about that. These discs are marked with a "Y". USB cable. One end is a mini B-type connector (5-pin) and the other end is two USB A-type connectors. This is because some older computers don't provide enough power from a single USB port, so this cable The drive can be powered by two USB ports. Most newer computers don't need this, so you can ignore the second USB Type-A connector, or just buy a new standard USB Type-A to Type-B 5-pin mini-USB cable.
