I got my FreeX label printer yesterday and just had to try it out. I have been using Rollo for my small business for many years. It worked reliably, but I really wanted something with WiFi. I was able to easily set up FreeX on my Mac by following the tutorial video. Be sure to watch the video! Please note that you need to install it with a USB connection before setting up WiFi. I use it with 4x6 labels (general) and the edge detection and printing have been fine. I print from Shopify and Pirate Ship. A few comparisons to the roller blind: The roller blind itself is smaller, but you need labels behind it, which take up a lot of space. The FreeX label roll fits snugly inside so it's completely self-contained and ultimately takes up less desk space. I think Rollo is a bit quieter, both when printing and beeping, and FreeX is a bit slower to start printing over wifi. . (I'll only talk for a few seconds here.) None of these things are a problem for me. FreeX prints fast. Like, very quickly. Disadvantages of FreeX? Well I wish the top was white instead of black. But that's all I can think of!
