I did a lot of research and decided on my first can opener. I have found it so difficult to open because of the vacuum seal. And that all ordinary glasses in the supermarket have the same design. It's like opening a beer glass with a metal lid, but a lot easier. I have to confess that I brought a battery powered Twister first. Since all other types work by rotating the lid, I've found that you have to hold the jar in place and rotate it at the same time. Only the battery type made it. Unfortunately, I bought it cheaply in some unknown malls. It was DOA but I got a full refund. The design might still be good, but I don't see how it works when you have a tapered can opening; The lid is much smaller than the body of the jar, and the jar has a long "neck". Other types of rotation will destroy the lid somewhat. One of the designs has a rubber mat so you can hold the jar steady. Another design is mounted under the kitchen cabinets, so you only need to hold the body of the glass. This gives away that you need to hold both the lid and the body in order to work. And to hold the cap in the low-cost airline, you need to slightly damage the cap. For these reasons, I chose this alternative method, and it works great.
