Review on Amcrest Extension IP2M 841B IP2M 841EB 20FTEXTW 5V by Michael Wilson

Tried this extension and another brand. Both were 30 feet long. So, along with the original USB cable (10ft), it was a 40ft power cable. The camera power light was red but never green and the camera did not start properly. When I tried a shorter cable (e.g. 20ft extension cable + 10ft original USB = 30ft power cable) the camera worked fine. There seems to be a limit (30 feet) on the maximum length of the power cord. I think the internal resistance of the cable means that if it is over 30ft long, the full 5V will not power the camera, resulting in the camera not booting properly. The IP3M-941 user manual or technical information does not mention any limitations.
