Overall, I think it has a good view with both the eyepiece and the phone adapter. Some problems with the phone adapter is that if you don't have a hard case, you have to remove each case (it sticks better to the hard plastic of the phone case). Another issue is how the adapter attaches to the eyepiece - do not overtighten or the three "prongs" that secure the adapter to the eyepiece will disengage from the clamping mechanism in the adapter. The "teeth" are put back in place, but I'm not sure how strong they are once snapped off.
