Not as thick as a bed mat
Bought a bed mat and decided as we sit on the tailgate all the time to eat I would order a tailgate liner. I thought it was the same thickness as a bedside rug which is well padded. no In fact, it is a gray carpet with a thin foam backing. There's no padding and it doesn't follow the contours of a liftgate like a bedside rug. Better than nothing, but you might as well cut a rectangle out of a gray navy rug at Lowe for a quarter of the price, really.
