I bought this adapter because I knew I was going to be without cables and internet for a few weeks. Thanks to this, I can play Netflix, Hulu, etc. on my iPhone and connect my iPhone with an HDMI cable to watch everything on TV. There is also a port for my phone's charger so it doesn't drain the phone's battery.
