I have an old laptop with a built-in 720p webcam and the quality has always been below average. Additionally, when I use my laptop in its dock, the laptop's camera is far from my main screens, making the built-in camera almost useless. Audio works fine. It has an integrated security shutter that covers the camera when not in use. There are no complaints.
