Review on MAXSA Innovations Right Garage Lasers by Rick Ross

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Actually better than a laser for one car but not for two cars

TL ; DR: Without installing it very high or far back (away from where your garage's power plug would normally be), it practically couldn't reach both cars. However, 2 lasers made a more difficult parking situation more manageable than a single laser, allowing me to park 1 of our 2 cars very accurately. This precision helps the second car have more freedom of movement and both people/cars are happy so overall this product still hits the mark. DETAILS: It's fine. Good: price, fairly solid construction (lasers don't wobble), mostly good sensor detection, easy to install and easy to connect to your garage lift motor. Thanks to its size and mounting points, I was able to find a creative way to attach it to the garage's engine frame. not far enough - I agree 100%. Can you separate the two laser heads to get to two cars? Yes, if your cars are close together - for example my garage doesn't have split garage doors and the cars are 3-4 feet apart which isn't enough. And yes, if you point them at something on the outer edges of your car. For example, aiming it at the driver's mirror on one car and the passenger's mirror on another. This limits your options a lot though, and half the time one of you will somehow park a few inches over and miss the laser - try to line your mirror up with the laser spot every time you park. in the limited/difficult space this laser is designed for. Imagine. Yes exactly. As a result, both lasers were aimed at a car that has a more difficult task and is parking at a slight angle. As for my application, my gigantic car with terrible parking visibility (a Challenger with a huge hood) only has about 5 inches between the front and rear bumpers. With only one of the lasers aimed I couldn't tell exactly how far forward or backward I was because the laser was at such a crazy angle (tried to stretch this device to point at 2 cars) that it didn't car would hit. at another lateral point when I miss slightly with a laser. There is no certainty in my longitudinal position. If both lasers form a "line" I can determine much more accurately how far forward/backward it is. It also allowed me to position the entire device opposite the same machine and for this application the size of the angle in the two lasers worked great. What about another car? Well, there's more room in the second car. While these dual lasers help me level a difficult task, there is plenty of room in the other car and my car serves as a guide. I didn't hurt anything by trusting this thing. a while!

Pros
  • All new white version with white AC power cord so it's almost invisible in your garage compared to the original silver version
Cons
  • Good but not very
