So far this is working really well to keep our Semi Doberman German Shepherd cozy on those cold autumn nights. The heating pad was perfect for our small porch. The shape is perfect for a curled up dog, even one as large as ours. We covered her with a soft blanket so she wouldn't lay directly on the mat because it's hard plastic. The hard plastic is perfect for our dog as it is water resistant and the cord is strong and protected so the dog cannot chew on it. We've had it for a few weeks now and the heating element works as it should. If it doesn't stand the test of time I'll update the review.
