Review on EBC Brakes DP61681 Greenstuff Truck by Brian Campbell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good pads. Equipment not included. Another pause in the proceedings.

I installed these on my old Lexus RX330, which I gave to my daughter before she left school. The car had PowerStop (perforated/slotted) rotors installed and was in fair condition. These pads fit with no issues, but I do notice that this set doesn't have anti-rattle clips, so you'll have to scrape and reuse the old ones (I'm not a big fan of reusing them, but I didn't have that much time ). As another reviewer mentioned, the paint is thick on them and they fit well, but after gliding they stood up well. The break-in process for them is different than what I'm used to with PowerStop pads. There is abrasive "grinding" material on these pads and it is recommended that you ride the pads for a while to recondition the disc. In my case, I set off on a 1000-mile trip the next day, so problem solved. After that, you'll be guided through the traditional pad-laying process (hard stops and cool-down). When we got to our destination, the pads felt good and I didn't bother stringing them together (I decided to leave them alone this time). I'm sure these pads will last the rest of the life of this machine. I don't recall these pads having a small wear indicator clip (squeak).
