Avoid the 2018 H75 redesign, it's CRAFTS, let me tell you why.

I'm pretty sure Corsair is running a contest among their staff to see who can come up with the worst design for this 2018 H75 model. Joking aside this is just a nightmare I don't even know where to start I'm so upset. Firstly the supplied fan screws are too short (I have 2 older model H75 units and I left the screws to each other and of course the old screws are about 1/16 inch longer. But that makes all the difference because the new ones have the thread not reached so they were useless see it can be easily unscrewed it is convenient but in practice it tears off with a minimal torque you CANNOT fix it firmly where it is safe it is too easy to unscrew , what if you're transporting it and it falls down well that's another problem because if you put it back on you could theoretically just flip it over, that would be cool if it worked but it doesn't ...You have to unscrew everything and hold everything together while reinstalling.Turn/remove system first.Metal is so weak it bends all the way to the base.Try your best.It won't slip back to the slots. I spent a good 10 minutes on this before getting everything sorted nicely despite all these problems. I think I could live with that. It's tedious, but it cools my CPU, right? NOT CORRECT. Heat readings are much higher than older H75 units (I'm testing with OCCT and two identical Intel 4790k processors, almost identical settings except on old/new H75 units. So yeah I want my $90 back and send a message to Corsair This design sucks, older models are better, I don't know why they tried to fix something that wasn't broken, but they definitely broke it.

Pros
  • Fans & Cooling
Cons
  • Long Lead Time
