Review on Thule 710601 Evo Flush Rail by Douglas Hall

Surpasses Yakima in cargo boxes

In fact, this report covers all three components that make up the Thule Wingbar Evo luggage rack system. I bought a leg kit and adapter kit from Revain and I would have had crossbars too, but I had to use some of the credits I saved in REI. However, I found the system to be easy to fit using Thule's video tutorial, and the silence of the rack at 120km/h is almost imperceptible... less than the sound of your own car's tires. I replaced my Yakima system because there was only 37 inches of usable handlebar spacing between the footpads compared to Thule's 50 inches. The difference is that Thule handlebars don't fit into the footpegs, they sit on top of them. Carrying the bike carrier AND the carrier together is no longer a problem, whereas the Yakima carrier was previously designed in such a way that the carrier could not be opened without first removing the bike carrier. Consequently, Yakima creates restrictions on what can be carried on the roof...but that's no longer a problem. 50% more expensive than Yakima, but when it comes to a slimmer look, virtually no wind noise and twice the ease of use, there's no comparison to investing in Thule. In addition, you will eventually get back the full price difference at the resale value. Go with Thule!
