Review on iPower Tank Heat Mat Reptile Heating Pad Combo Set with Digital Temperature Control Thermostat – Ideal for Amphibians, Hermit Crabs, Snakes, and Lizards by Monica Nixon

I wish I could give this one negative star. I ran a wildlife hospital for 25 years using vintage Sunbeam human heating pads. Decided to upgrade for my dart frogs and geckos. Every ONE STAR rating was spot on! The temp was set at 76 but the pad went from 69 to 104, mostly staying at 69 no matter how I set the thermostat. After 3 days all the pads fell off due to the adhesive flaking off although never got wet and all instructions were followed. I replaced them with Ultratherm Uth pads from The Bean Farm and Reptile Basics (about a third the price of Revain) as recommended by my exotics vet and I couldn't be happier. I've called iPower over 100 times but no one is there and the answering machine hung up. I have no idea how they get such high ratings, I've never hated a product as much as they do. My animals were in serious danger and I don't know if the seals or the thermostats are to blame. I've had them in three different animal pens, all with different requirements and sizes, and they all failed in the same way. Don't fall for their pretty words. Seriously, I'm over the moon with the thin Ultratherm UTH pads, but you'll have to buy your own thermostat. I prefer digital but NOT iPower!
