Summary: A good option for mid-range desktop speakers. They're pretty attractive without being distracting, not only is the build quality above average, but I paid $30 for them in late 2018 and the build quality is more in the $60-$80 range. If you're looking for Bowers and Wilkins, Klipsch, Band & Olufsen or Bose, keep looking. They're on par with Sony's portable options. I tested the Pebbles at 50% volume with pop, jazz, speech, classical and hip hop. The bass response is poor, empty and lacking in my opinion. Average leveling performance is acceptable. They're not as clean as I'm used to. The highs are perhaps a redeeming quality. They are clean, bright and sharp. goodbye thoughts As a guide, my previous set of CyberAudio 2.1 speakers and subwoofers were $50 when I bought them in 2015. Channels come and go regularly. Last week they finally stopped working altogether. My home office is more work-oriented than it used to be, and I just needed decent speakers for meetings, video tutorials, and background music while I worked. They do the work in spades. For their size and price they are worth it. Are their speakers better? Aha! In this price range? You need a sale or a used/refurbished set.
