Review on Dorman Spare Tire Hoist Assembly for Acura/Honda Models - 925-502, Great for Replacement by Corey Burgess

Fits Mdx 2019 but defective. I installed the block and lowered the lift, but the trigger broke before it could even lift the tire's weight. I sent it back thinking I had a rare defective unit and Amazon sent a replacement unit. set, twisted, THE RESULT IS SO! Then I found that the cotter pin holding the square crank to the shaft had been sheared in two. This happened with TWO DIFFERENT DEVICES. Wouldn't even lift the weight of the spare until the pin fell off. I then removed the device, knocked out the sheared pin (which was the consistency of metallic oil), and then drove in its place a pin I made from a stainless nail. Now the device works perfectly. My advice: DO NOT BUY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO FIX THEM!
