I installed this part on my 1989 Buick LeSabre. The sensor works fine, but after the car warms up from driving and you start it again (e.g. after buying it), the engine stalls very badly, making it rough and unsafe to exit the parking lot. It levels out after a minute or two. I wanted this sensor to replace the "Premium Gear" sensor made in China by WAI Global Transpo Electronics. I unknowingly replaced and threw away my original mass air flow meter a few years ago. You live and learn! It's difficult to find original factory MAF sensors for this car and I'm pretty sure the original MAF sensor I had was fine. However, I would suggest Chinese premium MAF hardware from WAI Global Transpo Electronics for this unit. I've been using the Transpo MAF for many years now and haven't had any major problems with it. I just feel like the original would have been better. I'd point out that this Walker is more responsive to hitting the gas hard when you're hitting the freeway. Premium seems to be getting to the point where the extra gas doesn't do anything. Poor hot start performance isn't worth the slight boost gained from front leg torques, especially given the age of the car. The bottom is often just bad for the engine/transmission on a car of this age. I would also like to point out that both sensors in this review do not share the same measurement components as the original factory unit. Walkers have a large diode connected to one of the sensor wires, the WAI sensor has a similar diode connected to the other wire. Thus, the settings of these two sensors are, so to speak, opposite to each other. The original sensor didn't have a large diode at all. I would also like to note that this product came with only one sensor and one "test pass" paper, there were no fasteners in the box. I was ok with this because I got the mounting hardware with my old global WAI block, so I just reused those torx screws and bits. I ended up sending this block back, maybe I just got a bad block? Maybe this device doesn't like my car? Who knows on these machines pld. I know that WAI Global Transpo Electronic's "cheap Chinese" sensor sold under the "Premium Gear" brand works much better with my car's computer systems. I'm trying Delphi modules. I tried their ICM and Coil Pack about a year ago. I couldn't even install the coil pack due to its poor design, the ICM was also very cheap and light weight while my factory ICM and coil are heavy and strong. Delphi coil broke twice! I've never tried the third block. The cam coil had half the tabs bent back and as soon as you tried to bend them properly they broke. The second coil had one of the spark plug wire retainers broken and loose. I gave up and went with my original icm/coil. Recently I tried AC Delco ICM/coils, they were higher quality, almost like factory coils. I just couldn't get my car to start with it, almost like the ECM doesn't want to control the block. Still using the original Magnavox units which I picked up from a junkyard when my original ICM/Coil failed. If you are looking to replace auto parts it might be best to check your local junk yard, they seem to work better with the main computer in the car than modern aftermarket parts. Is it like they just don't make them the same anymore? The standard ignition doesn't work either. It does the same as AC Delco.
