Worked for me - Firewire adapter

It was cheap and did exactly what it was supposed to. I've transferred data from an old MacBook Pro that wouldn't boot (except in target disk mode - hold T then power on) and an older iMac. Older models only gave me the FireWire option. One for 400, the other for 800. Hence the need for an adapter. worked fine
