This is a very well designed shop vacuum. The only hardware that is screwed into the drum and exposed from the inside are the four tool bag bolts, which sit well above the maximum fluid fill line to prevent corrosion and leaks. The oversized on/off switch doesn't look cheap, the cord is long and the cord wrap is placed sensibly. The tool bag is sturdy and fits all the included tools and more. The supplied hose is designed for heavy use and the elastic on the side allows you to wrap and secure the hose around the vacuum cleaner body without knotting it like other brands. The casters have rubber coated wheels that roll easily and allow the vacuum cleaner to pull smoothly when you pull it by the hose. The motor is amazingly quiet considering the suction power it offers. The engine head latches are strong and lock securely. Vacuum cleaners sold in big stores are built to last - this vacuum cleaner is built to last. The price was a few dollars more than a similarly sized hard vacuum, but I'm happy to pay more for something better.
