Doesn't seem to last long
Buy this in November 2018 to avoid cutting new cabinets for the old vented system. We rarely use the cooker hood (several times a year) so we thought this would be a good solution to the above problem. Mainly for light purposes. However, when we turned it on at high speed 2 nights ago, it barely worked. At low speed it's so quiet I doubt it even works. Unfortunately, our one-year warranty has already expired. It's unfortunate that a product of this price (vented systems are much cheaper) doesn't last more than a year with extremely minimal use.
